Creative Consultation
If you’ve got a novel/short story/memoir that’s just not working out for whatever reason, I’m here to help. For a modest hourly fee, I’m willing to read and critique your work based upon plot, structure, character development, and issues of race, gender, ableism, etc. I can also pretty reliably tell if you’re funny. I’m most familiar with genre work, including historical mysteries, Paranormal Romance, and YA Fantasy, but I’m more than willing to branch out. My services include comments within the text itself (using the comment function in MS Word), and a written report about the work as a whole.
Academic Editing Services
I spent two years working as a University Writing Center consultant, which means that I have extensive experience working with authors at the college level. Using the comment function in Microsoft Word, I can help you brainstorm, structure, edit, and format your papers. I really enjoy working with students at the high school level and above, and I promise—no matter what you might see on this site, I am really not that mean in person (or via email).
